variety.com/2014/digital/news/lindsay-lohan-sues-makers-of-grand-theft-auto-v-1201257385/Lindsay Lohan filed suit against Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive Software on Wednesday in New York City, saying the creators of “Grand Theft Auto V” used her image to create a character based on her without permission. Rumors began swirling just seven months ago that Lohan was planning to take legal action — and now she has, according to Forbes. Lohan’s case claims a character from the popular videogame named Lacey Jonas is an “unequivocal” reference to her from her image, voice, styles from her clothing line, and to West Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont hotel, where Lohan once lived. “The portraits of the Plaintiff (Lohan) incorporated her image, likeness, clothing, outfits, Plaintiff’s clothing line products, ensemble in the form of hats, hair style, sunglasses, jean shorts worn by the Plaintiff that were for sale to the public at least two years,” the claim states, reports the New York Daily News. Also, in the game, players can take part in a mission to help the character avoid paparazzi during the story mode. Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar Games have yet to respond to the claims. “Grand Theft Auto V” was released in September and sold over $1 billion units, making it the fastest-selling entertainment product in history.
