variety.com/2014/tv/news/spike-tv-frankenfood-free-food-truck-1201222231/To help promote Spike TV’s new series “Frankenfood,” a show that combines unlikely foods in an attempt to create new ideas, a free food truck is hitting the streets of Los Angeles. Spike’s food truck has teamed up with Roaming Hunger to dish out free bite-size samples of some of the most inventive and unexpected snacks on the show, including Fruity Pebbles chicken, mango habanero lollipops, pork s’mores, espresso-crusted chicken tacos and blackened shrimp pretzels. The “Frankenfood” food truck coincides with the premiere of Spike TV’s new competition series, which features local amateur food innovators competing head-to-head in order to get their unexpected concoctions onto the menu of a popular local restaurant and win $10,000. Chef Josh Capon and Tony Luke Jr. will serve as judges, along with a rotating panel of culinary experts. “Frankenfood” premieres on Spike TV on Sunday, June 22, at 10 p.m. See below for L.A. food truck locations: Tuesday 4-6 p.m.: Sportie LA 7753 Melrose Avenue Wednesday 11 a.m.-3 p.m.: Silverback Records; 1013 North Orange Drive Wednesday 5-7 p.m.: Y&G Showroom; 647 North Poinsettia Place Thursday 11 a.m.-4 p.m.: Young ‘n Reckless 3349 South La Cienega Place Friday 5-11 p.m.: The Brig 1515 Abbot Kinney Blvd. in Venice
