www.fangoria.com/new/first-still-lionsgate-found-footage-release-nightlight/Ahead of its place in this month’s Cannes Market, Scott Beck and Bryan Woods’ found footage film NIGHTLIGHT has been acquired for U.S. release by Lionsgate. While Screen Daily, who reports the U.S. distribution, offers a vague synopsis promising the film being told from a singular point of view, previous reports peg NIGHTLIGHT as a horror picture with the age-old “prank gone awry” premise as five friends play a game in “a mysterious forest with a long history as a beacon for troubled young people contemplating suicide.” Lionsgate recently took Eduardo Sanchez’s latest EXISTS, also a POV film, this one about Bigfoot.
