Following a handful of free trial offers attempting to entice WWE Network subscriptions, WWE is turning to a referral program.
WWE announced Monday that current subscribers can refer up to 10 friends and earn $25 in WWE Shop gift cards per new subscription.
WWE is attempting to reach their domestic Network count of 1.0 million subscribers by year-end. WWE was at 495,000 subscribers on April 1 and 667,000 subscribers on April 7 following WrestleMania.
The referral program could also benefit WWE's Shop business by creating an enticement to spend money on WWE merchandise.
