So the latest is that Shane Douglas' "classic style wrestling company" may debut next year "if all the pieces fall together". His company is said to be financially-backed by a "well-connected and wealthy businessman". I'm not sure what that means but Douglas is said to have met him through the director & production company of a movie he was in called "Pro Wrestlers & Zombies". The investor apparently had a serious interest in Shane Douglas' thoughts on wrestling. Maybe this investor has connections for a tv deal? Kevin Sullivan has been connected with the company as well. This is all great news for the wrestling business. Douglas was quoted saying that he "feels the ground moving in the wrestling industry"... words that mirror a statement made by Jeff Jarrett about wrestling being on the cusp of a boom period.
