variety.com/2014/film/news/better-off-dead-director-to-helm-teen-comedy-multiplexing-1201155489/Savage Steve Holland has come on board to direct “Multiplexing,” revisiting the teen comedy arena of his 1980s cult films “Better Off Dead…” and “One Crazy Summer.” Producers are Wayne 6 Entertainment’s Mark Heidelberger, Mike Massotto and David Crump with Richard Salvatore (“The Big Wedding”) and David E Ornston. A summer shoot is planned. Crump penned the script, which tracks a ragtag group of small town teens who get the surprise of a lifetime when the studio behind a summer tentpole release decides to premiere its film at their hometown multiplex. Holland received a Directors Guild of America nomination last year for “Big Time Movie” for Nickelodeon. He is repped by APA and Ziffren Brittenham. Paradigm will rep the film and handle domestic sales.
