From: variety.com/2014/film/news/avengers-age-of-ultron-adds-south-korea-as-shooting-location-1201110790/Marvel Studios has announced that “key elements” of “The Avengers: Age of Ultron” will be filmed in Seoul, South Korea. Production of the sequel will be based in London, and lensing will also occur in Johannesburg, South Africa, and Aosta Valley, Italy. “South Korea is the perfect location for a movie of this magnitude because it features cutting-edge technology, beautiful landscapes and spectacular architecture,” said Marvel president Kevin Feige, a producer on the film. “We would especially like to thank the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) for making it possible for ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ to come to Korea.” The film is set for release in the U.S. on May 1, 2015. The 2012 “Avengers” was a global blockbuster with $1.5 billion in worldwide grosses. Marvel tapped Paul Bettany earlier this month to play the Vision role in Marvel’s “Ultron.” Production starts next month, with director Joss Whedon and cast members Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans returning.
