www.cbr.com/marvel-shows-disney-streaming/Disney’s Streaming Service Could Mark the End of Marvel Netflix Shows In a likely attempt to bring in more subscribers, it’s been revealed that Disney will develop an original Marvel series exclusively for its streaming service that’s scheduled to launch in late 2019. Not only that, there’s a chance their existing series may move over, too. It’s already been confirmed that movies from the Marvel Cinematic Universe will move from Netflix to Disney’s streaming service, and there’s a chance the studio’s Netflix series will do the same. Marvel TV and Netflix have not announced any new series beyond The Punisher, so there’s a good chance it’ll be their last. According to the Wall Street Journal, Disney will likely stick to developing series for their own service to compete directly with other streaming services. There’s no word on which characters the upcoming Marvel series will focus on, but there’s a huge library to choose from. Marvel TV has currently got six series on Netflix (after The Punisher‘s Nov. 17 release), Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Inhumans on ABC, Runaways premiering on Hulu later this month, Cloak & Dagger being developed for Freeform and New Warriors, which is looking for a network. Arriving Friday, Nov. 17 on Netflix, The Punisher stars Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle, Ben Barnes as Billy Russo, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Micro, Amber Rose Revah as Dinah Madani, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Daniel Webber as Lewis Walcott, Shohreh Aghdashloo as Farah Madani and Paul Schulze as Rawlins, with Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio in an undisclosed role.
