www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/uta-signs-mega-chef-thomas-899358The acclaimed chef owns the Bouchon family of restaurants in Beverly Hills, New York, Las Vegas and Napa Valley. Chef Thomas Keller has exited CAA for UTA, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively. Keller is the mastermind behind Beverly Hills' Bouchon, No. 2 on THR's Power Lunch list this year. He is the only American-born chef ever to have more than one Michelin three-star restaurant (Yountville's The French Laundry and New York City's Per Se), and he has won multiple James Beard Foundation awards for his restaurants, which also include Yountville's Ad Hoc as well as Bouchon bistro, bar and bakery locations in New York City, Las Vegas and Yountville in Napa Valley. Keller has written five cookbooks, starting with the award-winning The French Laundry in 2009. The latest title, Bouchon Bakery, stayed on the New York Times' best-seller list for almost two months following its October 2012 release. Keller's move is a blow to CAA, which last week launched a new full-service culinary marketing and hospitality division to explore food-related business opportunities. But CAA continues to represent a strong roster of chefs including Gordon Ramsay, Roy Choi and Curtis Stone. Beverly Hills' Bouchon, which counts a CAA partner among its investors, has been a popular destination for the agency and the perennial host of its Emmys party.
