FilmRise Picks Up Home Media Rights to Eight Gravitas Ventures Films
Home video releases of the films, including festival favorites, will roll out through the spring and summer.
FilmRise has announced today that it has acquired exclusive home media rights to eight films from Gravitas Ventures' extensive library, including "Jim: The James Foley Story," "Addicted to Fresno," "4th Man Out," "Already Tomorrow in Hong Kong," "Advantageous," "Anarchy Parlor," "All Stars" and "Froning: The Fittest Man in History." The film and television distributor plans to release the films on DVD and Blu-ray throughout the spring and summer of this year.
This batch of new home video releases includes a number of festival favorites, including "Jim: The James Foley Story" and "Advantageous," which have both screened at Sundance, and "Addicted to Fresno," which was a SXSW pick last year.
Of the news, said Danny Fisher, CEO of FilmRise, commented, "We are pleased to be announcing that our rewarding partnership with Gravitas Ventures continues, as we acquire this exceptional collection of films. We look forward to widening the audience for each film, as we make them available to enjoy at home."
Nolan Gallagher, CEO of Gravitas Ventures, added, "After several lucrative partnerships, we are once again pleased to be working with FilmRise on this incredible slate of films. We are confident that FilmRise will ensure that these films find further success on DVD and Blu-ray."
Back in January, FilmRise picked up eight other Gravitas titles for home video release, including "Peace Officer" and "Band of Robbers."
