Gravitas Ventures Picks Up Action-Horror Feature 'The Horde'
The new feature about insatiable woodspeople will bow this summer.
Gravitas Ventures has acquired U.S. VOD and DVD rights, as well as all Canadian rights, to 313 FILMS and Razors Edge Productions' first feature film "The Horde." The action-horror film stars Paul Logan, Costas Mandylor, Bill Moseley, Vernon Wells and Matthew Willig and centers on a terrifying and ill-fated trip to — what else? — an evil patch of woods.
The film's official synopsis reads: "Filmed in Los Angeles, the film follows ex-Navy Seal John Crenshaw (Paul Logan) as he accompanies his girlfriend and her students on a weekend nature-photography expedition deep into the woods. What should be an educational and fun-filled trip turns into horror as the group is besieged by an unspeakable evil: a horde of hideously disfigured, mutated humans with an insatiable taste for blood. As things go from bad to worse, Crenshaw becomes their only hope if they want to reemerge from the woods alive." Let's just not go to the woods, okay? Easy!
Of the news, Michael Lange, Manager of Acquisitions at Gravitas Ventures, commented, "Gravitas is excited to be partnering with 313 FILMS and Razors Edge Productions on the release of this scary and action packed film 'The Horde' — a perfect mixture of action and horror the likes of which we haven’t seen in some time."
The film was written by Logan, directed by Jared Cohn, produced by Doreen Bennett, Beth A. Thuna, Joel Bennett, Paul Logan, Gabriel Campisi, Devin Reeve and executive produced by Sonia J. Thuna.
Gravitas Ventures will release "The Horde" later this summer.
