But it seems that may not be the case after all. As spotted by HeyUGuys, Civl War‘s Anthony Mackie praised the performances in the film while appearing on BBC Radio 1’s Movies with Ali Plumb. “I feel like the story is very concise and interesting,” he said. “And you get to see Robert Downey Jr and Chris Evans and Scarlett Johannson and Mark Ruffalo and everybody just do really, really good acting.” His comment comes around 17:50 of the episode and in context, it seems he struggles to add Ruffalo to the list of actors. He subsequently mentions that Marvel finds great actors overall, so he may already be shifting to that thought when he adds the Hulk actor to the list. But it certainly seems possible that Bruce Banner will choose a side in the conflict after all. Captain America: Civil War opens on May 6th.
