Moshe Daimant, who has produced several Van Damme movies, says he and his Signature Entertainment entered into a producing deal with Nu Image in March 2005 and “performed day-to-day operations of the production on the picture” but haven’t been paid. No individuals are named as defendants. The suit (read it here) pmcdeadline2.files.wordpress.com/2016/02/nu-image-lawsuit-wm.pdfsays that although Til Death “has continuously been distributed throughout the world in all forms of media and continues to generate income,” Daimant has come up short. “Plaintiffs have repeated demanded that Defendants pay the monies owed under the Agreement but Defendants have failed and refused to do so.” The film was released theatrically in some territories including Israel, Japan and Mexico, according to IMDb, but went straight to video in the U.S. under the title Until Death. The suit, filed Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court, seeks unspecified damages, attorneys’ fees and “imposition of a collective trust on the monies held by Defendants.” John Marcin and Anthony Greco of Marcin LLP represent Daimant and Signature Entertainment in the action.
