www.fangoria.com/new/netflix-acquires-february-directors-next-horror-offering/Netflix Acquires “FEBRUARY” Director’s Next Horror Offering Debuting at Toronto International Film Festival and quickly becoming one of the most buzzed-about festival titles of 2015, FEBRUARY is slated to scare audiences later this year from A24 Pictures (who, with THE WITCH and GREEN ROOM on their slate, are killing it in 2016). But what was even more of a sure thing following FEBRUARY’s debut was that Osgood Perkins would swiftly become an in-demand fright filmmaker, and today’s news from Variety confirms it: Perkin’s directorial follow-up, I AM THE PRETTY THING THAT LIVES IN THE HOUSE, has been set for financing and release by Netflix. Starring Ruth Wilson (THE AFFAIR), here is the official synopsis for I AM THE PRETTY THING THAT LIVES IN THE HOUSE… A young nurse named Lily (Wilson) is hired as caretaker for Helen Bloom, an elderly best-selling author of ghost stories as she lives out her final days in her beloved country home. The only problem is that the home is host to a horrific ghost story of its own. Although the role of Bloom has yet to be cast, PRETTY THING has set Bob Balaban (PARENTS) and Lucy Boynton (Perkins’ FEBRUARY) for supporting roles. The film shoots this Feburary in Ottowa, Canada and will debut exclusively on the streaming platform; expect more news on I AM THE PRETTY THING THAT LIVES IN THE HOUSE later this year!
