www.bleedingcool.com/2015/12/03/indiana-jones-will-not-be-recast-says-steven-spielberg/Despite rumors that actors like Chris Pratt might take up the tenure of Dr. Henry “Indiana” Jones, director Steven Spielberg tells Screen that the character will never be recast. “It’s certainly not my intention to ever have another actor step into his shoes in the way there have been many actors that have played Spider-Man or Batman,” he says. “There is only going to be one actor playing Indiana Jones and that’s Harrison Ford.” Though both star and director are getting on in years, Spielberg will soon be 69 and Ford is 71, Spielberg says “more adventure” is the best reason to continue making Indiana Jones movies. “So as long as there’s more adventures out there, I’ve got a bullwhip, a fedora, a leather jacket and a man on a horse who knows how to get the job done,” he explains. The fifth Indiana Jones film is not yet scheduled for production or release, but Spielberg will certainly entertain questions about it.
