Exclusive: Disguise the limit in new “FELT” posters; more theater listings
As the psychologically disturbing FELT makes its way into more theaters from Amplify Releasing, a new trio of posters keyed to its heroine’s penchant for bizarre garb have emerged, and we have ’em exclusively past the jump.
Directed by TOAD ROAD’s Jason Banker, FELT is based on the real-life experiences of its star, Amy Everson. The synopsis: “Amy is hanging on by a thread. Struggling to cope with past sexual trauma and the daily aggressions of a male-dominated society, she creates grotesquely costumed alter egos that re-appropriate the male form. While giving her the sense of power she craves, acting as these characters pushes her further into a world of her own making. When she begins a new relationship with a seemingly good guy, she opens herself up to him—but that vulnerability comes at a dangerous cost, and her alter egos threaten to lash out in explosive violence.”
The movie opens in a number of new cities today, and more in the coming weeks; see those details below the posters. In addition, it will be available on VOD digital July 21 via Amazon Instant, Cablevision, Comcast’s Xfinity TV, Cox, DirecTV, Dish, Google Play, iTunes, PlayStation Store, Time Warner Cable, Verizon FiOS, VUDU, Xbox Video and more, and will arrive on DVD September 1 (cover art after the posters). See the very NSFW trailer at the bottom of the page, our review of FELT here and an interview with Banker and Everson here; visit the film’s official website and Facebook page.
