The arrangement comes on the heels of Fox 21 Television Studios recently landing the rights to the book The Residence for a cable drama executive produced by Spacey and Brunetti. The Residence, which Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly is co-executive producing in her scripted TV debut, will be the first project under the deal, which will cover the development of scripted series for broadcast through 20th TV and for cable through Fox 21 Television Studios. Based on Kate Andersen Brower’s non-fiction book, The Residence is about the relationship between the White House residence staff and the various First Families spanning several administrations. “Kevin and Dana’s body of work — from House Of Cards, The Social Network and Captain Phillips just to name a few – is mind-blowing and aligns perfectly with our studio’s commitment to great storytelling and undeniable content,” said 20th TV president of creative affairs Jonnie Davis. Added Fox 21 president Bert Salke, “Trigger Street is the rare combination of a producer that’s smart, aggressive, has great taste, and is a talent magnet.” The deal was negotiated for Trigger Street by CAA and Hansen Jacobson.
