Under the new pact, Showtime acquires the exclusive multiplatform exhibition rights, allowing Showtime Networks subscribers to watch IFC Films across all platforms including television channels, Showtime On Demand and Showtime Anytime. Kicking off, Oscar-nominated “Boyhood” makes its television debut this Sat, April 25 (8/7c), on Showtime. Other films included are “D Train” and “Sleeping With Other People,” which screened at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. “IFC Films has become a major player in the independent theatrical distribution business and it is very exciting to extend our partnership with them,” said Gary Garfinkel, SVP of content acquisition, and Kent Sevener, SVP of content acquisition and business and legal affairs. “We’re thrilled to expand and further diversify the Showtime Networks theatrical portfolio for years to come with IFC Films’ rich slate.” “We are thrilled to have our films play alongside Showtime’s award-winning original programs.
