It will get a multiplatform release this year from the newly rechristened company formerly known as Millennium Entertainment; the distribution deal for the pic was with former stakeholder Millennium Films. The two split off the distribution arm of Avi Lerner’s Nu Image in August. Phil Shelby’s screenplay centers on a Foreign Service officer in London who tries to prevent a terrorist attack set in New York but is forced to go on the run after she is framed for crimes she didn’t commit. Charles Winkler, Irwin Winkler, Matt O’Toole and Les Weldon produced and Lerner, Trevor Short, Boaz Davidson, John Thompson and Jason Bloom executive produced. Bill Lee’s now-stand-alone outfit has been active on the acquisition front, recently buying up the Rupert Grint-Ron Pearlman comedy Moonwalkers at SXSW and the high-profile Sundance Film Festival title Strangerland starring Nicole Kidman, Joseph Fiennes and Hugo Weaving.
