“Wild Tales” director Damian Szifron will helm and produce an untitled thriller for TriStar in his English-language debut.
Nicole Brown will oversee for TriStar, which has remained active following the promotion of Tom Rothman from head of the label to chairman of Sony Pictures’ motion picture group. Rothman is continuing to oversee the properties he greenlit at TriStar.
The logline of the script, written by Szifron, is under wraps.
The Argentinian drama “Wild Tales” received an Oscar nomination for best foreign language film.
Szifron’s credits include Argentinian TV series Los Simuladores (“The Pretenders”) and Hermanos y Detectives (“Brothers and Detectives”) and the movies “The Bottom of the Sea” and “On Probation.”
Szifron is repped by WME and attorney Carlos Goodman.
