We noted before that wrestling legend "The Crippler" Ray Stevens was to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year due to his ties to the Bay Area but plans were recently changed and Stevens won't be inducted after all.
A source described it to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter as a "card subject to change" situation and it may have something to do with this year's top star, Randy Savage, not being alive so WWE didn't want anyone else who wasn't alive this year, therefore they nixed the Stevens induction. Stevens going in was considered a done deal until just over a week ago.
