Alonzo recounts her story of losing her parents when they stood up against evil within their church — a man obsessed with controlling the congregation who was determined to get rid of anyone who stood in his way. “Rebecca Nichols Alonzo’s story touched our whole team,” said Affirm’s Rich Peluso. “Her journey through healing and forgiveness recounted before thousands of people across the country proved both engrossing and engaging.” Steve Armour has been hired to write the screenplay. Armour is repped by the Gersh Agency and managed by Corey Trent Ackerman of FreshMaker Media. UPDATE, 6:58 a.m. PST – This article revised to reflect that the book is a memoir.
