deadline.com/2015/02/sony-cyber-attack-residuals-checks-actors-1201380044/The recent cyber attack on Sony Pictures still is taking a toll: The studio has told SAG-AFTRA that its members’ residuals checks might be delayed for three months because of the devastating hack on the company’s computer systems. “Sony Pictures Entertainment has informed SAG-AFTRA that, as a consequence of their recent cyber SAG-AFTRA hi-res logoattack, Sony’s payment of certain categories of residuals may be delayed by one quarter,” the union said in an email alert to its members. “Due to this delay, fourth quarter 2014 residuals and first quarter 2015 residuals from Sony may not be posted to your online SAG-AFTRA Residuals Tracker until after June 1, 2015.” It is unclear at press time whether writers and directors can expect the same delays.
