She was 68. Fairchild, born June Edna Wilson, appeared in a number of films, most notably as the woman who snorted Ajax in Cheech and Chong’s “Up in Smoke” in 1978. She also had roles alongside Clint Eastwood in “Thunderbolt and Lightfoot” (1974) and the Monkees in “Head” (1968). She lived with Three Dog Night’s Danny Hutton and is said to have suggested the name for group. After her acting career, she returned to working as a go-go dancer at clubs and later was homeless for some time. Fairchild is survived by her daughter, Megan Mull; her brother, Jerry Wilson; and a grandson.
