Stacey Farber To Star In ‘Take It From Us’
Stacey Farber, best known for her role on the hit Canadian series Degrassi: The Next Generation, has been cast as the female lead in the NBC comedy pilot Take It From Us, Greg Malins, Barry Schwartz and Sony TV. The multi-camera/hybrid project, described as a love story told in flashbacks in New York in the 1990s, is about a couple, Alyson and Lucas, that tells their son the lessons they learned growing up in the ’90s in hopes he and his fiancée can avoid making the same mistakes. Farber, repped by DBA, Zero Gravity and The Characters and Amanda Rosenthal in Canada, will play Aly as a 20-something in the 1990s. Coming from a semi-prominent family, she was told her whole life that if she just followed the rules – get straight As, don’t get in trouble, go to a good college, find a good guy with a good job, she’ll be happy and successful. So she did all that. Only to find out it’s not true. Now she’s looking to change her life in a big way.
