variety.com/2015/film/news/berlin-germanys-concorde-nabs-dujardin-starrer-up-for-love-exclusive-1201427855/Tele Munchen Gruppe Concorde, one of Germany’s biggest distributors, has snatched up Laurent Tirard’s “Up for Love,” a romantic comedy with Jean Dujardin and Virginie Efira. Sold by Gaumont, the movie stars Efira as Diane, a newly single lawyer who gets a call from Alexandre (Dujardin), a charming architect she’s never met who happened to find her lost phone. The two hit it off and decide to meet, but that first date takes an unexpected twist. The German sale was negotiated by Guy Amon on behalf of TMG Concorde and Gaumont’s Cecile Gaget. A major European deal inked at the market, the TMG Concorde acquisition — which was done at script stage — shows the commercial appeal of high-concept, well-polished French comedies in Germany, said Gaget. Gaumont has already pre-sold the movie Lucky Red (Italy), Frenetic (Switzerland), Cineart (Benelux) and Poland (Kinoswiat).
