Warner Bros. is in negotiations to bring video game Temple Run to the big screen with Harry Potter producer David Heyman onboard to produce. Temple Run is a 2011 game developed and published by Imangi Studios that spawned a sequel earlier this year as well as numerous spin-offs. The game, which is typically played on mobile devices like the Android, has become a mammoth best-selling app. The story would center on an explorer who, having stolen an idol from a temple, is chased by demonic forces. The studio will next look to attach a writer to adapt. Heyman has a longstanding relationship with the studio, having produced the eight Potter films as well as the studio's box-office hit and awards-season contender Gravity. (The movie has pulled in $475 million so far.) Sources say Heyman also is in talks with Warners to produce J.K. Rowling's next franchise for the studio, Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them. Lynn Harris will oversee Temple Run for the studio. Attachments:
