The film opens Berlin’s Forum program Feb. 5. Kino Lorber plans a fall theatrical release and key festival engagements, as well as a digital and home-media release. The company’s CEO Richard Lorber and Mongrel Intl. president Charlotte Mickie negotiated the deal. Pic was co-directed with Maddin’s longtime collaborator Evan Johnson and produced by Phi Films, Buffalo Gal Pictures and the National Film Board of Canada, with the participation of Telefilm Canada and the financial investment of Manitoba Film & Music and SODEC.
