Three teams that have been known to have interest in setting up shop in L.A. — the San Diego Chargers, Oakland Raiders and St. Louis Rams — were by Roger Goodell that no team will do so for the 2015 season, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The last time L.A. had a team was in 1995, the year that the Raiders migrated to Oakland. That same year, the Rams also left Southern California for St. Louis. All three teams appear to have reasons for wanting to try their luck as L.A.'s home team. They all have had low home attendance rates this season, while the Raiders are in need of a new stadium. In October, L.A. mayor Eric Garcetti said it was "highly likely" that the city, which has proposed building a new stadium, would get an NFL team in 2015.
