Principal photography on ANT-MAN is now complete,” he tweeted before teasing upcoming news. “Stay tuned…” Marvel started principal photography on August 19 in San Francisco, but the majority of the film was shot in Atlanta. “Ant-Man” hits theaters on July 17, 2015, marking the character’s (one of the founding members of the Avengers) introduction to the bigscreen. The movie, which was supposed to be helmed by Edgar Wright before he dropped out unexpectedly after being attached to the project since 2006, stars Paul Rudd as the titular superhero (AKA Scott Lang). Evangeline Lilly plays Hope Pym, the daughter of Michael Douglas’ Dr. Hank Pym, while Corey Stoll is the villain Yellowjacket (AKA Darren Cross) John Slattery, Hayley Atwell, Bobby Cannaval and Michael Peña round out the cast.
