LOS ANGELES – Australia’s Ten Network has reportedly attracted takeover bids from Time Warner, Discovery and Australia’s Foxtel.
Time Warner made an “indicative offer” of A$0.25 per share, according to the Australian Financial Review newspaper.
Contacted by Variety, Time Warner declined comment.
Youth-focussed, Ten last month posted an annual loss of A$168 million (US$144 million).
The company is publicly listed in Australia and counts Lachlan Murdoch, Gina Rinehart and James Packer among its backers.
