Schwartz will focus on expanding WWE’s digital and social media presence across platforms and manage the WWE network, its YouTube presence, WWE.com and the company’s app. WWE has nearly 415 million worldwide fans on its various social media accounts. He reports to WWE chairman and CEO Vince McMahon. WWE launched its digital streaming network in February. Schwartz has a history in developing Internet video and over-the-top services, while previously working for UUX, Piksel and Multicast. He most recently was CEO of UUX, where he oversaw the merger of Totalmovie, a Latin American retail OTT service, with OTT Networks, a Brazilian content management software and service company, to form a cloud-based OTT platform. Before UUX, Schwartz was CEO of the Americas and general counsel for Piksel, a provider of advanced online video software and services. He also co-founded and served as chairman and CEO of Multicast Media Technologies, an Internet video platform that was sold to Piksel in 2010.
