Sony Classics is planning to release “Still Alice” during the upcoming awards season but it has not set a date. CAA brokered the deal. The movie, written and directed by Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmoreland, also stars Alec Baldwin, Kristen Stewart and Kate Bosworth. Moore portrays a linguistics professor who’s diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s. Production companies are Killer Films and Lutzus-Brown. Producers are Lex Lutzus, James Brown and Pamela Koffler; exec producers are Marie Savare, Christine Vachon, Maria Shriver, Emilie Georges, Nicholas Shumaker, Celine Rattray and Trudie Styler. It’s the second Toronto deal announced Thursday by Sony Classics. The distributor also bought North American rights to German historical drama “Labyrinth of Lies.” News about “Still Alice” was first reported by Deadline.com.
