variety.com/2014/film/news/toronto-starz-snags-rights-to-courtney-cox-directorial-debut-1201299732/Starz has nabbed distribution rights in the U.S. and Canada to Courtney Cox’s directorial debut “Just Before I Go.” The dark comedy about depression debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival, and the deal closed this week at the Toronto Film Festival. The “Friends” star’s first behind-the-camera effort stars Seann William Scott (of “American Pie” fame) as a suicidal man who goes home to wrap things up with people he thinks he’s wronged. The film co-stars Cox’s ex-husband David Arquette, Rob Riggle, Garret Dillahunt, Kate Walsh, and Olivia Thirlby. The film was produced by Cox, Thea Mann for Coquette and Gabriel Cowan for New Artists Alliance, along with executive producers Arquette, Alexandria Jackson, John C. Rhee and John Suits. The deal was negotiated by WME Global and Kevin Kasha, Starz’s head of acquisitions.
