Weber will adapt. Both thesps are on the rise among Hollywood’s young talent. Clarke recently wrapped production on “Terminator: Genisys” playing Sarah Connor, and Claflin is filming the next two installments of “The Hunger Games” franchise, “Mockingjay Part 1″ and “Mockingjay Part 2.” Both are repped by CAA. Thea Sharrock will direct “Me Before You,” which is based on the Jojo Moyes novel and revolves around a girl in a small town who forms an unlikely bond with a recently paralyzed man she’s taking care of. Peacocke will play the paralyzed man’s personal caretaker. Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber will adapt. Karen Rosenfeldt and Sue Baden-Powell will produce. Peacocke has also landed a role in the biopic “Fun House,” starring Tina Fey and Margot Robbie. He just finished production on “Fun House” and will jump immediately into shooting “Me Before You.” Though his only major role so far was in last summer’s action pic “Hercules,” Peacocke is popular in the Aussie market, having starred in over 600 episodes of the popular Oz show “Home and Away.” The soap has become Hollywood’s go-to show for scouting young rising Australian talent, with everyone from Liam and Chris Hemsworth to Heath Ledger getting their start on the show before making it big. Peacocke is repped by CAA, Sophie Jermyn Management, Brillstein Entertainment and attorney Dan Fox.

Thea Sharrock will direct the adaptation of Jojo Moyes' 2012 novel. The story centers on Lou (Clarke), a small-town girl caught between dead-end jobs, and Will (Claflin), a successful man who finds himself wheelchair-bound after an accident. He can find no reason to live, until they meet when he hires her as his caretaker, and she becomes determined to prove to him that life is worth living. Jenna Coleman, Charles Dance, Stephen Peacocke and Janet McTeer also appear in the film. The Fault in Our Stars scribes Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber wrote the script with Moyes. Karen Rosenfelt and Alison Owen are producing, and Sue Baden-Powell is executive producing. Coyle, who plays Mr. Bates on Downton Abbey and also stars on crime drama Spotless, is represented by Curtis Brown Group and MGMT. Lewis played Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter franchise and since has appeared in the series Bluestone 42. He's repped by Curtis Brown Group. Kirby recently appeared in Jupiter Ascending and will next be seen in Everest. She's repped by UTA and the Artists Partnership. Lloyd-Hughes, who plays Will in Summit's Divergent franchise, is repped by CAA and Hamilton Hodell. Spiro is also repped by Hamilton Hodell.

The directorial debut of theatre director Thea Sharrock, Me Before You, has now been set by Warner Bros. to bow on June 3, 2016. It had previously been scheduled for August 21, 2015 release and then was pushed to undated in 2016. There is nothing currently on the weekend shared by Paramount’s sequel to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but that is the weekend after the Memorial Day holiday which will see the release of X-Men: Apocalypse from Fox and Alice Through The Looking Glass from Disney, which stars Johnny Depp and Anne Hathaway. Me Before You is an MGM-produced lit adaptation from British author Jojo Moyes (who penned the original script based on her 2012 novel) along with (500) Days Of Summer screenwriters Scott Neustadter & Michael H. Weber. It tells the story of a small-town girl and wheelchair-bound boy who share a series of life-changing adventures when he hires her as his caretaker. Producers on the film are Sue Baden-Powell and Karen Rosenfelt. Sharrock’s TV directing resume includes Sam Mendes’ BBC miniseries The Hollow Crown and Call The Midwife.
