Brew City Wrestling Results
July 31, 2014
State Fair Expo Center Activity Stage
West Allis, Wis.
Report by Blake Reilly of The Blake & Sal Show (@blakeandsalshow)
(1) Tomasso Ciampa defeated Psycho Chase McCoy. Ciampa won via roll-up. McCoy came up bleeding from a diving headbutt. The crowd was into McCoy big time.
(2) Dysfunction defeated Silas Young. Young cut a great heel promo to get the local crowd to boo him before the match. Dysfunction won with a Savage elbow drop. Very interactive with the crowd and fun match!
(3) Psychotic Brandon Blaze (w/J.P.) vs. Mitch Blake went to a Double Count-out. They were announced as former tag team partners and most of the crowd had no idea who they were. It ended in a double count-out when they wrestled to the back. It was pretty much a set up for their steel cage match at the Summer Sizzler show at Knights of Columbus on August 15.
Promoter Frankie DeFalco spoke to the crowd for a few minutes after hugging everyone in the front row.
(4) BCW Tag Team champions Beer City Bruisers beat The Anarchy (w/J.P. and BCW Ladies champion Stacy Shadows) to retain the BCW Tag Team Championships. Good match overall. The BCB retained with an electric chair double team. The crowd thought it was over and popped big for a piledriver false finish.
(5) Greeko "G.Q." Suave defeated Tyler Sundae. This was Tyler Sundae's first match in BCW. He came out in a Good Humor outfit to the music you hear from an ice cream truck as his theme music and handed out small ice creams and ice pops to the kids in the crowd. There were even "Let's Go Ice Cream" chants a couple of times. Yes, that happened. Suave won with an anklelock.
(6) BCW champion Steve Corino vs. Greg "The Hammer" Valentine went to a Double DQ. It was rough to watch Valentine walk to the ring; he was walking very slow and you knew the match wasn't going to be long at all. It ended in a Double DQ after a slow few minutes when Anarchy came out and beat up both guys. Then, the BCB came out for the save.
After the match, DeFalco made a match for the 2:30 p.m. show - Corino, Valentine, and the BCB vs. The Anarchy, J.P., and a wrestler of their choosing.
Overall, it was a fun/interesting environment. It was very unique to right in the back of the expo center with all the action of State Fair going on around us, but overall definitely a fun time. There were a lot of kids who I can see becoming lifelong fans after this show because they were definitely having a great time.
