WZ has learned from WWE sources as many as 30 employees are expected to be released at the end of this week as the next wave of budget cuts hit World Wrestling Entertainment. The executive wing is expected to be the focus of these WWE employee cuts, as production cuts are taking place with air and ground travel, busses being taken off the road and the trimming of post production costs.
There is the thought WWE has needed to “trim the fat” (as one insider told us) for quite some time, and this is a lot less painful to upper management than it may seem. Either way, while this is still a backstage rumor, we can confirm several moves have been made that appear to clear the way for an overhaul at the main Tower this week. More information to come.
