“Captain America: The Winter Soldier” directors Anthony and Joe Russo and Joe Johnston (“Captain America: The First Avenger”) will direct the first episodes of ABC’s “Agent Carter” series.
Louis D’Esposito, co-president of Marvel Studios, will helm the pilot, which stars Hayley Atwell.
The series will revolve around Peggy Carter, seen in the first two “Captain America” films. Show is set in 1946 after World War II has ended and Steve Rogers (Captain America) is gone.
While the Russo brothers have closed their deal, Johnston’s deal is being finalized, Marvel said during the company’s TV panel at Comic-Con in San Diego on Friday.
