The proposed park is a venture involving Village Roadshow and the province of South Gyeongsang and will be part of a larger development known as the Undong Entertainment Complex. South Gyeongsang is the province in south eastern South Korea that contains the major port cities of Busan and Ulsan. Fox World Korea is the second Fox World park to be initiated by 20th Century Fox Consumer Products. Construction in Malaysia began in December last year on a park that will feature attractions based on properties including “Ice Age,” “Rio,” “Alien vs Predator,” “Planet of the Apes” and “Night At The Museum.” Details will be announced Wednesday in Seoul.

A MOU between Fox Consumer products and the governor of Gyeongsang South province was signed Wednesday, along with Village Roadshow Theme Parks, which will be a design and development consultant, and the operator of the studio themed park. Fox World Korea will be initially span more than 75 acres of land and be part of a 700 plus acre leisure resort located in the Ungdong Area of Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone, Jinhae-gu, Changwon City. “Korea provides a unique opportunity for an international theme park destination that will be incredibly attractive to both a thriving domestic consumer as well as a quickly growing tourist market from China, Japan and across Asia,” said Jeffrey Godsick, president of Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products.
