Word is that Daniel Bryan may now need shoulder surgery. A full exam recently revealed a lot of different shoulder and neck issues that Bryan has. Due to the uncertainty surrounding Bryan's condition, he is out of all WWE plans and there is no internal estimate on when he will be back.

After he has another surgery soon, it's possible Daniel Bryan can make his return at the 2015 Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
It's worth noting that WWE creative didn't find out about Bryan needing another surgery until the press conference he did about the burglar incident at his home.

In doing promotional work for Total Divas, which debuts tonight, Brie Bella said that the doctors decided last week that former WWE Champion Daniel Bryan will not need a second operation as was expected. She said he is going through rehab and he is slowly gaining strength in his right arm. There is no exact timetable for his return but they are hoping for three months from now.

Bryan was originally scheduled for a second operation in August, but just a few days before, doctors felt it wasn't necessary and he could rehab the arm. Word from a few weeks ago was that the strength was still not coming back to the arm and surgery was expected, but this was the first time it was publicly acknowledged. There is no timetable on Bryan's return.
