www.icv2.com/articles/news/28853.htmlIn an interview with Sky Movies, actor Simon Pegg expressed his disappointment with Marvel Studios to remove Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead) as director of Ant-Man and replace him with Peyton Reed, who will direct the first Ant-Man film, which is due in theaters on July 17th, 2017 . Pegg loved the script written for the Ant-Man film by Wright and Joe Cornish, and was clearly upset that the director of the Cornetto Trilogy was not allowed to work his whimsical magic on Ant-Man: "I think it’s a terrible shame. I get why perhaps it’s happened. Maybe they want a particular thing in line with a particular other thing, but if you hire a director who has a particular vision, you’ve got to expect him or her to make a such and such film. An Edgar Wright film. That’s what that script was and it was interesting. The characters had a real journey. I can’t really say too much about it because obviously it’s not my thing, but it’s their loss.”
