The new movie, Ready Player One, is out at the show right now. The main villain in the movie is named Nolan Sorrento. He is played by Australian actor Ben Mendelsohn. The founder of Atari, his name is Nolan Bushnell. It seems Mighty coincidental that the founder of Atari and the villain in this new movie have the same first name. The 1980s Atari game based on the movie E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial is one of the worst video games of all time. I wonder if Steven Spielberg has a grudge against Nolan Bushnell for making that game and that's why the villain is named after this guy. I never read the book. The book came out before the movie and then Spielberg's company and Warner Brothers and Village Roadshow bought the rights to make a movie. So maybe the movie and the book The Villain already was named before Spielberg got involved, but I find it very questionable that you name this guy after the Atari founder. And before this all happened in the 80s it look like Atari was going to run the world with the computer games.
