Blackpills Acquires Pan-European Rights to ‘Cold’ From Keshet International
Blackpills, a Paris-based digital entertainment media service, has acquired pan-European rights to “Cold,” a premium short-form series which played at this year’s Berlin Film Festival.
Repped by Keshet International (KI), “Cold” will roll out on blackpills across 15 territories including France, Germany, Sweden, Spain, Netherlands, UK and Ireland.
Created by filmmaker and video blogger Emily Diana Ruth and starring Annalise Basso (“Captain Fantastic”), “Cold” previously earned two Streamy Awards nomination and won one for best drama series. “Cold” was produced by New Form, a leading digital entertainment studio.
“Cold” follows the story of 16-year-old Isla Wallis who receives the shock of her life when she discovers that her real father is in prison for killing the mother she never knew. Furious at having been lied to, Isla runs away to the remote mining town where she was born. There, she learns about a series of horrific murders of First Nation women that may be tied to her mother’s death.
