Under the new pact, Baer and his Baer Bones Productions shingle will develop new television programs for the studio. Baer most recently served as showrunner on CBS’ summer series “Under the Dome.” Previously, he was showrunner on NBC’s “Law & Order: SVU” for 11 seasons, and was also writer and showrunner on “ER.” “Neal is a visionary producer whose brand combines intelligence, suspense, spellbinding characters and enormous commercial appeal,” said Jonnie Davis, 20th Century Fox TV’s president of creative affairs. “We’ve been anxious to work with him for years and we’re excited to have him bring his eagle eye for great material and his skills as a showrunner to our development efforts.” Baer and his production company will be developing for both network and cable under the new 20th Century Fox TV deal. Baer is repped by UTA and attorney Michael Gendler.
