Set in a future city where all drugs are legal and sold by licensed companies, the story follows an elite police unit tasked with cracking down on black market dealers. When officer Frank Grieves is removed from a case investigating an unidentified murder victim, he discovers that legalization has come at a high price. What follows is a battle over a new street drug between those who seek to destroy it, and those who think it could be exploited for good purposes. Written by Trefgarne, Narcopolis stars Elliot Cowan, Elodie Yung, and Jonathan Pryce. It’s produced by by Daniel-Konrad Cooper, Paula Turnbull, Eldar Tuvey and Trefgarne, and exec produced by John Cameron, Lisa Carroll, Simon Cole, Cowan, John Edwards, Jonathan Elstein, Liat Elstein, Roy Tuvey and Jim Walker. The deal was negotiated by Nate Bolotin of XYZ Films working on behalf of the filmmakers, and by Arianna Bocco, SVP of Acquisitions from Sundance Selects/IFC Films.
