www.bleedingcool.com/2015/05/22/even-more-secret-from-the-battleworld/In our third article in this series, (part one and two down Below) we continue to look further ahead at what secrets the Battleworld of Secret Wars still holds. The great god Doom believes mutants to be a blight on the world, doing his best impersonation of Isaac Perlmutter. So in X-Topia, featuring the continuance of the X-Tinction Agenda storyline in Genosha, he will not allow any outside help to deal with the mutant virus affecting the population. And in the Sentinel Territories, he supports the internment camps of their anti-mutant government. We learnt this week of Arcade’s gladiatorial pits in Planet Hulk. Well, it is used to put all sorts of people across the Battleworld against each other, including a rebuilt Thunderbolt Ross against the denizens of Greenland, and surrounded by chained up Marvel zombies to keep the players playing…. And what about the barons? Well Scott Summers may be baron of Inferno, after deposing Madylene Pryor, but Phoenix, Rachel Grey is baron of X-Topia. While Maestro, barn of Dystopia, has a Groot potted plant as a trophy. James Rhodes is the Thor from Technopolis, with Baron Tony Stark. Baron for now…

www.bleedingcool.com/2015/05/11/so-what-is-the-secret-wars-battleworld-all-about-anyway/So What Is The Secret Wars Battleworld All About Anyway? (SPOILERS) So what do we know, think or expect about the Battleworld or from the upcoming Secret Wars events? Okay, this is where we think we are. Spoilers, obviously. Doctor Doom, god of the Battleworld, created it and rules it. The rules are enforced by Sheriff Strange and the Thors (of whom Sam Wilson is a member) The first rule is, do not breach the borders. Those who break these rules must serve the rest of their lives on The Shield, maintaining the border between the safe and the dangerous realities on Battleworld, such as the Deadlands. Think the Night’s Watch and the Wall in Game Of Thrones. As the Marvel writers probably were. Serious transgressors however may be tried and banished to the Deadlands themselves. The Punisher, merged with the soul of Dr Strange is one of those trangressors,, travelling from world to world. A different Strange to Sheriff Strange though. Each domain has a baron or baronness who reports to Sheriff Strange. She-Hulk is a baronness of the island of Arcadia, home to A-Force. As is Tony Stark in Armor Wars. Senator Kelly in X-Men 92. Hyperion is the baron of Utopolis (though not the Hyperion of the Avengers). And Madelyne Pryor is no longer the baronness of Inferno… And something strange is going on, on the flipside of the Battleworld. But no more of that for now. That should be enough for you to be going on with. Secret Wars #2 is out this Wednesday.

www.bleedingcool.com/2015/05/15/more-secrets-from-the-battleworld/More Secrets From The Battleworld We ran a few things to expect from the Secret Wars Battleworld, some of which were confirmed in Secret Wars #2, some which were not yet. But here are a few more bulletpoints to add to your fuller understanding. Under Doom, Scott Summers is the baron of Inferno, after deposing Madelyne Pryor and sealing off the demonic realm into Manhattan – into which the X-Men lead a team once a year with a very strategic purpose. While under Doom, Medusa is a Queen of New Attilan, a land crucial to the Battleworld. Other crimes that get you sent to The Shield, as well as crossing the borders, includes stealing from the property of Doom Ultron helmets litter the Battleworld. Sometimes the Thors arrive in person to maintain separation between the worlds. But sometimes they just send a lightning bolt to do the trick. Some call them Thor Corps, others just Thors…
