During a busy Cannes, three FilmNation Entertainment execs have been given their VP stripes. Upped to VP Business & Legal Affairs is Jennifer Fradlin, Patrick Chu has been named VP Productions & Acquisitions, and Selena Saldana is now VP Publicity. “Selena, Jennifer and Patrick have made tremendous contributions to our business over the past few years,” FilmNation CEO Glen Basner and COO Milan Popelka said in making the announcement. “We are thrilled to recognize this and their continued leadership roles for the company going forward.”
Fradlin joined FNE in 2009 and has strong relationships with the company’s producing and financing clients, as well as its offshore distribution partners. She has also been instrumental in closing numerous film financings for FilmNation’s sales clients. She now will be responsible for managing all of the business and legal affairs for the international division.
Chu arrvied at FilmNation in 2012 and has been instrumental in bringing in many of the company’s highest-profile projects. His new role will grow to include acquiring projects for sales and financing as well as an expanded part in developing and supervising in-house productions. In Cannes, he’s sourcing new titles for the production, financing and worldwide distribution slate.
Saldana also joined FilmNation in 2012 and began running publicity for the company in 2013. In her expanded role, she’ll manage the company’s public profile and all aspects of publicity on production and sales titles. She has launched publicity campaigns for numerous films at top international festivals including Venice, Berlin, Cannes, Toronto and London.
