On the Trail of the Marsupilami”), John Heder (“Napoleon Dynamite”), Elodie Bouchez (“Happy Few”) and Jonathan Lambert (“Love Lasts Three Years”). It’s produced by Gregory Bernard at Realitism Films. “IFC released Dupieux’s previous movie, the Sundance-preeming ‘Wrong Cops’ and did a great job so we’re very happy to team up with them again on Reality,” said Bernard. Nicolas Eshbach’s Indie Sales, which handles worldwide, has also sold the movie to Germany, Pierrot Le Fou, Praesens in Switzerland and O’Brother in Benelux. Shot in Los Angeles in French and English, “Reality” weaves together the journeys of a trio: an eight-year-old girl who finds a mysterious VHS, Jason, a failed filmmaker shooting his first horror movie, and Denis, a culinary TV host who loses his self-confidence because of an imaginary skin disease. IFC is expecting to release the film in April. Diaphana will handle the French release in February.
