Repped by Wild Bunch in international markets, “Gentlemen” – which world-premiered at Toronto and is playing at Stockholm — has also sold to Artificial Eye for the U.K. and Lumiere for Benelux at the AFM. One of Scandinavia’s biggest and most internationally-driven films of the year, “Gentlemen” boasts a strong Swedish cast led by David Dencik, Sverrir Gudnason and Pernilla August. “Gentlemen,” based on Klas Ostergren’s bestselling novels, is taking place in the aftermath of WWII and is set against the backdrop of political corruption and economic boom. Stockholm-based outfit B-Reel produced the film. Wild Bunch is also selling “Gangsters and Gentlemen,” a four-part mini-series which is based on Ostergren’s novels and has been commissioned by Swedish pubcaster SVT. Wild Bunch’s AFM slate boasts Oliver Stone’s untitled Edward Snowden, Arnaud Desplechin’s “Nos Arcadies,” Garspar Noe’s “Love,” Jacques Audiard’s “Erran” and Jean-Francois Richet’s “Blood Father.”
