Riff With 'Mystery Science Theater 3000' Creator Joel Hodgson At Wizard World Chicago
It's been named one of the "top 100 TV shows of all time" on numerous lists, and now 'Mystery Science Theater 3000' gets the Wizard World treatment when creator Joel Hodgson makes his debut at Chicago Comic Con, Friday through Sunday.
Also the host of the venerable, Peabody-award winning series for its first 100 episodes, Hodgson began as a stand-up comedian, appearing on “HBO’s Young Comedians Special” as well as “The Late Show with David Letterman” on CBS and NBC’s “Saturday Night Live.” Joel also had several appearances on the beloved “Freaks and Geeks” TV series on NBC.
He has also served as a writer for more than 100 episodes of "Jimmy Kimmel Live."
In addition to meeting fans, signing autographs and posing for photo ops, Hodgson will host a special MST3K Q&A on Sunday at 2 p.m.
Hollywood icon and quintessential symbol of all things spooky 'Elvira,' Cassandra Peterson, will attend Wizard World Chicago Comic Con this weekend.
The first horror host ever to be syndicated nationally, the one and only "Mistress of the Dark" has emerged as one of today's most original and outrageous pop culture characters.
"Elvira’s" reign as "Queen of Halloween" has spanned more than three decades and includes two feature films, an IMAX film, motion control rides, music CD’s and books.
Meet her Friday through Sunday at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center... if you dare!
